DynCorp International has been awarded two Afghan training and mentoring contracts from the U.S. Army Contracting Command worth a potential $100.7 million in total.
“We have supported the U.S. Army and coalition forces in providing this specialized training since 2010,† Randy Bockenstedt, DynLogistics senior vice president at DynCorp International, said Thursday.
“We are honored to be able to continue this partnership and contribute to strengthening the Afghan national security forces.â€
The firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursable contract to support Afghanistan’s national police force has a base period of nine months and two options that could extend the project up to six months and is worth up to $52.1 million.
The firm-fixed-price, cost reimbursable contract to support Afghanistan’s army has a nine-month base period with two three-month option periods and is worth up to $48.6 million.
Work will involve provision of advisory-type services, including personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools support, to the Islamic state’s ministries of Interior and Defense.
