Grunley Construction and Shalom Baranes Associates have been selected to refurbish the Center building at the Department of Homeland Security‘s St. Elizabeths campus in Southeast Washington.
Once the renovation completes, the 270,000-square-foot center building will serve as DHS’ headquarters and house nearly 700 employees, the General Services Administration said Thursday.
GSAÂ awarded the contracts to the companies as a part of the agency’s three-phase consolidation plan for DHS’ campus at St. Elizabeth’s.
St. Elizabeth’s Center building is listed as a National Historic Landmark.
