Tetra Tech will provide the National Institute of Standards and Technology with engineering services for five years under a $30 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
The award involves an analysis of the design and requirements needed to upgrade the components and processes of the NIST Center for Neutron Research, Tetra Tech said Monday.
Other tasks include systems design and integration services, and the development of new research techniques for the facility, it added.
The NCNR maintains a nuclear test reactor that provides a neutron source for studies in biology, materials science, chemistry and physics.
