Verizon Expands Cloud Experience with Amazon Web Services; Thierry Sender Comments

VerizonLogo1 EbizVerizon Enterprise Solutions has included Amazon Web Services to its Secure Cloud Interconnect service, allowing enterprise customers to manage their data via multiple clouds.

The company said Tuesday that the added service eases users into AWS through SCI using AWS Direct Connect to offer the “right blend” of options in the areas of security, performance and efficiency. Amazon Web Services

“With SCI, we help enterprises truly take advantage of the cloud,” said Thierry Sender, director of technology at Verizon.

The company cited a recent study it commissioned tracking businesses that have grown because they have become more streamlined, competitive and agile following cloud migration.

Verizon said SCI with AWS Direct Connect is now accessible in Northern Virginia and Silicon Valley, with plans to roll out the service in London, Sydney, Tokyo and Singapore next month.
