EMCOR Group Subsidiary to Construct Miami Sewer Pump Station; Pat Carr Comments

EmcorGovtLogoAn EMCOR Group subsidiary has won a construction contract for Miami-Dade County’s Master Pump Station No. 3 project that aims to expand the capacity of the sewer system in downtown Miami’s Brickell area.

Florida-based Poole & Kent Company will construct a multilevel pump station building housing the four centrifugal pumps and a multilevel generator building housing the standby emergency diesel generator, the company said March 17.

According to Pat Carr, president and CEO of Poole & Kent, the subsidiary has 40 years of experience in water, sewer, and environmental projects covering construction of related facilities and structures and installation of motors and other equipment.

The contract with Miami-Dade County includes the installation of equipment such as mechanical and yard piping, fuel systems, a hydraulic reservoir system and fiber optic cables, among others.
