The company will identify approaches that are intended to help Defense Department to execute and assess cyber missions under DARPA’s Plan X program, Raytheon said Thursday.

Jack Harrington, vice president of cybersecurity and special missions within Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services business, said the company has helped evaluate the results of launching missiles in domains such as land, air, sea and space and it intends to do the same for cyber domain.

DARPA launched the Plan X program in 2011 to build platforms intended to assist the DoD in planning and assessing cyberwarfare.
