A CGI-made financial management system is now ready to undergo further assessment under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

CGI Momentum, now granted the “FedRAMP Ready” status, will move forward in the program's certification process, with a target period of six months, CGI said Tuesday.

Momentum is a software as a service offering designed to help federal agencies reduce risks in managing finances, assets, budgets and purchases across life cycles.

More than a hundred federal organizations use Momentum for financial reporting, sustainment and infrastructure services and other applications. It is also employed by customers in defense, intelligence and civilian areas.

FedRAMP aims to standardize cybersecurity in cloud products used across the federal government.
