The Defense Information Systems Agency has selected Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) for a potential 10-year, $6.5B contract to support operation, maintenance and security of a system used to connect U.S. military and federal government personnel worldwide.
Leidos said Thursday it will help DISA manage the Department of Defense Information Network/Defense Information System Network under the Global Solutions Management–Operations II contract.
Gerry Fasano, president of Leidos’ defense group, said the company will continue efforts to align its network services with the agency mission.
A significant number of personnel will perform work at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, and various locations in Hawaii, Florida, Maryland and Utah.
The company noted it will provide support services on a global scale.
