Six Firms Awarded Air Force Contracts to Further Develop Simulation, Training Tech

Six small companies each secured a $1M contract from the U.S. Air Force after presenting their simulation and training technologies to service and industry officials during the first Simulators Pitch Day at the Interservice/Industry, Training, Simulation and Education Conference in Orlando, Fla., Defense News reported Thursday.

The selected companies were DTI, Information Systems Laboratories, King Crow Studios, Perceptronics Solutions, PlaneEnglish and TakeFlight Interactive.

Some of the technology platforms showcased during the event were stereoscopic 3D display, virtual flight instructor and an aviation radio simulation platform.
