Northrop Grumman Systems has received a three-year, $50.8M contract to supply the U.S. Army with radio systems designed to operate in multiple radio frequencies and secure communications. The company will produce, integrate and field Huntsman network radios as well train military personnel to use the technology, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

DoD expects work to be finished by Sept. 30, 2022. Huntsman is equipped with a wireless mesh technology and certified by the National Security Agency as a Suite B cryptographic product for securing information.
