Deloitte‘s consulting business has received a potential five-year, $23M contract from the U.S. Navy to build a training virtual environment for the service’s enterprise shipboard network.

The scope of work covers the development of a cloud-based virtual environment for the service’s Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services system, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Other tasks include front-end analysis; curriculum delivery; job, duty, task analysis; train-the-trainer and course events; and training delivery services.

The Navy will use the TVE platform to replicate actual CANES training scenarios, store records to document training completion and provide an integrated learning management tool designed to accelerate curriculum updates.

Work will take place in Arlington, Va., through December 2023 under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command received seven offers for the IDIQ contract and will obligate $2.8M in fiscal year 2017 other procurement funds upon issuance of the first task order.
