Motorola Solutions has chosen Microsoft‘s Azure Government to support a software platform for public safety agencies to manage applications in a cloud computing environment.

The partnership seeks to leverage both companies’ offerings to help agencies run hybrid architectures designed for use on premise or in the cloud, Motorola Solutions said Monday.

Andrew Sinclair, corporate vice president and general manager of software enterprise for Motorola Solutions, said the company aims to introduce the advantages of cloud technology to the public safety community.

The communications technology provider offers cloud-based CommandCentral Vault, CommandCentral Analytics and CommandCentral Aware platforms.

Vault is designed to manage digital evidence while Analytics is intended to examine crime patterns and Aware is built to collect data from multiple sources in real time.

Azure Government works to help federal agencies move and secure information in cloud-based servers and is certified to handle sensitive government data.
