Alion Secures Army Tech Development Support Contract

Alion Science and Technology has received a potential five-year, $49.9M contract to explore tools and methods for the U.S. Army to develop agile and adaptive systems.

The Defense Department said Monday the company will work to increase knowledge and understanding of new technology development approaches that can support future Army missions.

The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the contract via an online solicitation process and will obligate $5.1M in fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.

Alion will perform work in McLean, Va. through Sept. 29, 2021.
