Motorola Solutions supplied its command and analytics software for the recently inaugurated Real-Time Analysis Center of the Springfield, Mass. police force.

The company said Thursday its CommandCentral Aware software is designed to help provide a comprehensive operational picture for first responders through the aggregation of real-time information from several sources of data.

Crime analysts can employ the software to aid in the coordination of response operations with the use of data such as footage and criminal activity records collected from computer-aided dispatch systems and emergency alerts.

Integration of Motorola’s software with BriefCam‘s products provides a descriptive search and identification function for video analysis.

City officials have noted a 40 percent reduction in crime rates through the four-year period since the implementation of the analytics software.
