Woolpert is set to receive a five-year, $2 million contract to provide photogrammetry services for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The company said Thursday it will conduct geodetic survey and photogrammetric mapping for stereo-compliant aerial and mobile lidar collections under the contract.

Services will also encompass vertical and oblique aerial photography acquisition, aerial lidar and mobile lidar acquisition, geodetic mapping, conventional surveys, global positioning system surveys, digital map compilation and digital terrain model creation, said Mike Zoltek, project manager at Woolpert.

He added that the services will be done as specified for individual projects.

Judy Beale, also a project manager at Woolpert, stated that PennDOT is concerned with adherence to schedules while being able to deliver quality products, and the company seeks to contribute data that would support the agency’s transportation infrastructure.

Woolpert is also expecting other multiyear DOT contracts for other states including Florida, Minnesota and Virginia.
