Politico has selected Accenture to be the founding partner of a global artificial intelligence forum that aims to educate business and government leaders on the impact and use of AI technology.
Accenture said Thursday the program will involve a series of AI summits and roundtable discussions across Europe and U.S., with the first summit scheduled for March 19 and 20 in Brussels, Belgium.
Keynote participants of the first summit include Carlos Moedas, European Union commissioner for research, science and innovation, and Rep. John Delaney (D-Maryland).
“Interest in AI is surging but we are still far from realizing all the commercial and societal opportunities it brings,” said Narendra Mulani, chief analytics officer of Accenture’s applied intelligence unit.
Mulani, who will discuss the state of AI in the Brussels summit, added that the joint initiative will provide a forum for executives and policymakers to address AI-related challenges.
Jo Deblaere, Accenture chief operating officer and group chief executive for Europe, plans to join the Brussels summit to offer recommendations on how companies and government agencies can cooperate to expand the application of AI in the continent.
