Robert Tortora, a 40-year research veteran and former chief methodologist at Gallup, has joined ICF International as a senior fellow and will support the company’s work related to health, education and social programs.
“His experience and expertise in government research, as well as international and commercial research, is a great fit for ICF’s survey research work,” said John Boyle, an ICF senior vice president, said Tuesday.
Tortora is also an American Statistical Association fellow and has worked at the U.S. Census Bureau as an associate director of statistical design, methodology and standards.
At USCB, he led efforts to design and implement methods for annual population surveys across the country.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathemathics from Youngstown State University, a master’s degree in mathematical statistics from The Catholic University and a Ph.D. degree in probability and statistics from Bowling Green State University.
