BAE Systems‘ recruitment efforts for 2015 will focus on cybersecurity as the company plans to allot one-third of its total graduate intake to its U.K.-based applied intelligence business.
The company said Sunday that its cybersecurity arm will have the highest number of new hires for the third consecutive year due to the continued and evolving threat of cyber crime.
“[We] need to recruit growing numbers of bright, motivated individuals, particularly IT, engineering and physics graduates that will work with our experienced team to identify vulnerabilities and manage the threat effectively,” said Scott McVicar, managing director for cybersecurity at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.
BAE plans to hire 293 graduates in the U.K. next year, with 98 recruits set to support the applied intelligence business at its headquarters in Surrey and satellite offices in Gloucester, Leeds and London.
Others will fill vacancies at the company’s head offices and military aircraft, maritime naval ships and services, submarines, weapons, electronic systems, combat vehicles and munitions businesses.
