Joanne Wilson of ASRC Federal‘s research and technology solutions division has joined the International Telecommunication Union Radio Regulations Board as an elected member following the union’s recent Plenipotentiary Conference in South Korea.
ASRC Federal said Tuesday that Wilson, who is deputy program manager of the company’s NASA spectrum management contract, will serve on the board until the next ITU assembly in 2018.
“Being elected to the ITU Radio Regulations Board is a well-earned honor and one that bears tremendous responsibility,” said Mark Gray, president and chief executive of ASRC Federal.
Wilson, who has nearly 30 years of experience in telecommunications, will represent the Americas and work with 11 other international board members to oversee global radio spectrum policies and regulations.
She will continue her duties with ASRC Federal and NASA.
