Bernadette Wightman, a 15-year Cisco veteran, has been named president of the company’s business operations in Canada.
She will succeed Nitin Kawale, who will retire after 19 years of service at the company, Cisco said Friday.
“We thank Nitin for his leadership and congratulate Bernadette as she takes over the reins and brings her perspective to this high-performing team,” said Alison Gleeson, senior vice president for Americas at Cisco.
Wightman most recently served as general manager for Cisco in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the other Commonwealth of Independent State countries.
She also led Cisco’s channel and commercial sales outside of the Americas and the partner organization in the U.K. and Ireland in collaboration with British Telecom.
