A-P-T Research Gets NASA Safety & Mission Assurance Support Contract

A-P-T Research has secured a potential five-year, $52 million contract to provide safety and mission assurance support services to NASA‘s Washington headquarters.

The company will also provide similar services to the agency’s Kennedy Space Center and other facilities that host KSC-backed programs and projects, NASA said Wednesday.

SMASS III tasks also include risk assessments, inspections, investigations, engineering analyses and evaluations of work being performed by NASA components and government contractors.

The contract has a base performance period of two years along with three one-year option periods and will also support NASA’s Commercial Crew, Launch Services and International Space Station programs.

Huntsville, Alabama-based A-P-T Research offers engineering and programmatic services to government customers in areas such as software development and modeling, systems engineering, test planning, range and system safety and independent verification and validation.
