The U.S. Senate’s sergeant-at-arms office has awarded CenturyLink a potential seven-year, $26.6 million contract to install, maintain, operate and manage a unified communications-as-a-service platform at more than 450 Senate state offices nationwide.
CenturyLink said Monday it will provide hardware, software, training and held desk support to help senators’ offices access a platform for hosted voice-over-internet-protocol service.
Erich Sanchack, senior vice president and general manager of CenturyLink’s federal solutions business, said the company offers technology products designed to help customer agencies modernize legacy systems.
The contract has a three-year base period worth $11.4 million and four one-year options.
