Baltimore City Orders Comtech Equipment, IT Staffing Support

Comtech-Telecommunications-Corp.logo-Comtech Telecommunications‘ government solutions segment has received a $4.4 million order to provide new communications technology to the city of Baltimore, Maryland.

The company said Tuesday its government solutions business segment will also provide information technology staffing and assistance for agencies such as the mayor’s office of IT and city police department under the contract.

“Comtech has been working with current MOIT staff to provide key web-based and database development, implement network security and support the city of Baltimore’s local and wide area networks,” said Fred Kornberg, Comtech president and CEO.

He added the network services will work to support the city’s IT and network infrastructure.
