Will Ash, Cisco senior director for U.S. public sector security sales, has said integration, consolidation and automation are key to meet the Department of Homeland Security‘s requirements for the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program.

Ash wrote in a blog post published Monday that agencies will need technology partners to help meet the program’s continuous monitoring requirements and drive changes such as optimized response times, threat visibility and down time.

He noted that Cisco developed cyber systems that work to integrate into agencies’ current infrastructure, share information in real time, automate workflow and threat response and operate in the cloud.

He added Cisco’s CDM offerings cover policy and access, network security, threat protection and content security.
