Cubic logoCubic has been awarded a five-year, $76.4 million contract with the Defense Logistics Agency to produce components for personnel locator systems used by the U.S. military and NATO coalition forces.

The AN/ARS-6 airborne guidance system works to encrypt communication between rescue forces and isolated crew members during rescue operations, Cubic said Monday.

“Nothing is more important than rescuing civilians or military personnel at risk,” said Bill Toti, president of Cubic’s global defense segment.

“These systems are critical in the search and rescue of our warfighters,” added Toti.

Cubic will manufacture the systems through December 2020 under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
