Two business units of L-3 Communications will provide depot-level maintenance services to the U.S. Navy for the branch’s F/A-18 A/B/C/D aircraft fleet under a contract awarded to the company.
L-3’s platform integration unit will carry out equipment updates such as structural life-extension modifications and inspections to address operational commitments, the company said Thursday.
The company’s Canadian subsidiary L-3 MAS will be responsible for aircraft structure inspection, modification and engineering support work on the aircraft.
