cybersecurityCylance and Blue Coat Systems have partnered to combine their threat detection technologies with the goal of helping enterprise customers avoid sophisticated and targeted cyber attacks.

The companies seek to equip version 1.3 of Blue Coat’s Content Analysis System offering with a Cylance-made artificial intelligence engine, Blue Coat said Wednesday.

CAS is designed to inspect files across a network for malware intrusion, while the AI tool employs machine-learning algorithms intended to block malicious programs.

Blue Coat plans to release the integrated cybersecurity product this month.
