The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has released a solicitation for research proposals on radar and communications spectrum sharing systems, Military Embedded Systems reported Thursday.
John McHale writes DARPA plans to award multiple contracts with a duration of one year for companies to develop co-designed radar and communication systems.
DARPA also aims to increase open spectrum sharing between military radars and military communications, and military radars and commercial communications systems, McHale reports.
Submissions to the broad agency announcement will close on Sept. 10, the report says.
