BAE Systems subsidiary has booked a seven-year, $30 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Air Force for avionics research and development focusing on electronic warfare.

Under the IDIQ, BAE Systems Space & Missions Systems will explore new concepts related to developing, integrating, assessing, evaluating and demonstrating cybersecurity, open system architecture, novel avionics and sensor technologies as well as multi-domain technologies, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

BAE will conduct R&D activities through June 13, 2031, at the Wright-Patterson AF base in Ohio.

Air Force Research Laboratory is the contracting activity and received five bids for the contract. It initially obligated $60,000 from fiscal 2024 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
