A Concurrent Technologies Corp. affiliate has received an initial $2.1M order to produce a specialty coating intended for military use.

Enterprise Ventures Corp. worked with CTC to build coating manufacturing processes and equipment as both organizations seek to address projected customer demand, CTC said Thursday.

EVC also plans to recruit new workers to meet production goals.

Ed Sheehan, president and CEO of CTC, said the collaboration demonstrates a “combined strength in performing full lifecycle services including design, development, prototype, full-scale production, sustainment and disposition.”

“This joint capability is a key part of our overall strategic plan,” Sheehan added.

Both entities previously embarked on technology transition efforts for a cross-domain information security platform, a set of aircraft maintenance production tools and a launch and handling system for airborne mine countermeasure missions.
