Lockheed to Provide Tactical Trainer Devices for Navy’s Freedom-Class LCS

Lockheed Martin has received a $20.7M contract from the U.S. Navy to fabricate, install and test integrated tactical trainer devices for Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ships.

Work also covers design, configuration, modernization, technical documentation and concurrency of the devices at naval stations in Florida and San Diego, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The service branch will obligate the full contract amount at the time of award from its fiscal 2019 other procurement funds. DoD expects contract work to conclude by March 2022,

The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division in Orlando is the contracting activity.
