Huntington Ingalls Industries has awarded OSI Systems’ security division a $28M contract to provide technical support services for multiple Rapiscan platforms designed to screen parcel, cargo and baggage for any security threats.

OSI said Wednesday it will maintain the inspection systems and provide logistics, training and sustaining engineering services as part of the multiyear contract.

“We are excited to receive this service award and look forward to supporting the end user customer’s mission of providing safety and security for critical infrastructure,” said Deepak Chopra, OSI’s chairman and CEO.

The contract is for three years of work.
