The Defense Information Systems Agency cleared a Project Hosts cloud computing service to host controlled unclassified information for Department of Defense and federal customers.

Project Hosts received a 12-month provisional authorization at impact level 5 for the Federal Private Cloud, a platform-as-a-service offering for DoD personnel to manage applications deployed on the department network, DISA said Tuesday.

The FPC suite consists of systems and services designed to support information technology functions such as access control, authentication, patching, intrusion prevention, disaster recovery and configuration management.
