The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has launched a new program that aims to develop and commercialize hardware and software architectures for data tracking.
The Guaranteed Architecture for Physical Security program is intended to secure high-risk data transactions and allow consumers to physically track these activities, DARPA said Wednesday.
GAPS contibutors will work to build hardware components and interfaces, develop software co-design tools and integrate these products together.
Products that result from the program would be designed to define data separation requirements and provide physically executable protection measures.
DARPA invites firms to attend a proposer’s day on Jan. 23 at the DARPA Conference Center, where the agency is set to announce information and entertain questions regarding GAPS.
The program is a component of the agency’s Electronics Resurgence Initiative, a five-year, over $1.5B investment in electronics technologies for the government.
