NASA is calling for aerospace manufacturers and researchers to submit market information on technologies and approaches that would contribute to the safe implementation of urban air mobility.

The space agency is studying methods to safely integrate manned and unmanned aircraft into the urban airspace and to manage associated air traffic, NASA said Friday in a FedBizOpps notice.

These methods encompass flight planning, scheduling, sequencing and spacing in constrained environments.

NASA is looking to work with the aviation community in areas including analysis and evaluation, operational architecture development, cybersecurity and congestion management to safely integrate urban air mobility.

Responses to the sourcing are due on Dec. 10.
