NASA’s Langley Research Center is seeking potential partners in the development of a proposal that will help meet the requirements for the Earth System Science Pathfinder Program’s Earth Venture initiative.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Monday says the space agency will select firms that have experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and supporting small satellites.

Potential partners should also have a background in payload integration, systems engineering for payload accommodation issues, telemetry and data interfaces and ground data capture and distribution services.

Interested entities must also host a range of potential Earth remote sensing, lightweight, low-power instruments on a commercial smallsat bus in low-Earth orbit for two years.

The Earth Venture program consists of various missions that aim to encourage investments in Earth science studies.

NASA will accept responses to its sources sought notice until Nov. 19.
