CTC’s Brandon Hody Earns National Safety Council Recognition; Ed Sheehan Quoted

The National Safety Council has recognized Brandon Hody, a safety and occupational health professional at Concurrent Technologies Corp., for his leadership in workplace safety programs.

He received NSC’s Rising Stars of Safety Award, which honors professionals under age 40 who have demonstrated excellence in safety improvement initiatives, CTC said Wednesday.

“Brandon is a valued member of our outstanding team of safety and occupational health professionals who are leading the way, not only in our company, but across the nation in ensuring safe and healthy work environments,” said Ed Sheehan, president and CEO of CTC.

Hody serves as the company’s alternate representative to the American National Standards Institute as well as two standard development committees under the International Safety Equipment Association.

He was elected as assistant administrator at the American Society of Safety Professionals’ Public Sector Practice Specialty in 2017 and co-authored the article, titled “Medical Marijuana – Addressing Impairment in the Workplace,” which appeared in the ASSP’s Professional Safety Journal.

NSC presented the award at the council’s Congress & Expo.
