The General Services Administration plans to create a governmentwide contract vehicle for support services to civilian and military platforms used on the ground, at sea and in the air, Bloomberg Government reported Friday.

The report noted that GSA’s Federal Systems Integration Management Center will manage the planned “ATLAS” acquisition program.

Pamela Dixon, a GSA spokeswoman, told BGOV in an email the agency is conducting a market research into manned and unmanned systems development, integration, maintenance, operations and readiness services.

According to BGOV data, the Defense Department accounted for nearly 90 percent of the federal government’s $16.7B spending on vehicle support services during fiscal 2017.
