The Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has partnered with Turner Construction to promote workplace safety measures during construction of the U.S. Naval Academy’s Center for Cyber Security Studies in Annapolis, Md.

DOL said Monday the partnership seeks to implement safety training and monitoring programs to help workers avoid injuries, illnesses and exposures to hazard in high-risk zones.

OSHA works with companies, employees, industry associations and labor organizations through the agency’s Strategic Partnership Program.

The goal of the program is to formulate goals, strategies and performance metrics for managing worker safety and health.
