Radiant Solutions will lead a team composed of at least 25 companies and universities in a bid to help the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency manage multisource topographic and human geography data.

The Maxar Technologies business holds a spot on a potential 10-year, $920 million contract to offer content data management support for NGA’s Janus Geography initiative, the company said Thursday.

“We are incredibly excited about the opportunity to support the NGA’s Foundation GEOINT modernization efforts,” said Tony Frazier, president of Radiant Solutions.

Frazier added the team seeks to help NGA and its customers access content that can support mapping and analytics.

Radiant is one of four business segments under the space technology company formed upon closing of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates‘ merger with DigitalGlobe.

Radiant inherited its position on the Foundation GEOINT Content Management Services contract via MDA Information Systems, which has supported NGA’s data-production needs through legacy organizations since 1999.
