Raytheon‘s integrated defense systems business has won a potential $29.9 million contract from the U.S. Navy to develop a maritime technology that can support command, control and communication across multiple domains.

The company will perform work through Oct. 31, 2020, in support of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency‘s Cross Domain Maritime Surveillance and Targeting program, the Defense Department said Thursday.

CDMaST seeks new architectures that will work to integrate manned and unmanned systems to counter adversarial submarines and ships in contested maritime environments.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic received two offers for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract through a competitive procurement.

DoD noted the service branch will obligate $1.4 million in fiscal 2018 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
