L3 Receives $51M Modification on Army Mortar Fuze FMS Contract

L3 Technologies‘ fuzing and ordnance systems unit has received a $50.9 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to supply M734A1 and M783 fuze units to Afghanistan and Bahrain.

The modification is part of a foreign military sales deal and work will take place in Cincinnati, Ohio through Jan. 31, 2022, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

The Army used fiscal 2016 through fiscal 2018 aviation procurement and FMS funds for this award.

L3 FOS manufactures ordnance fuzing safety equipment for U.S. military services, contractors and international defense customers.
