Firelake-Arrowhead NASA Services has secured a potential $52.4 million contract to help manage facilities and construction projects for the space agency’s Glenn Research Center.

The Construction, Maintenance, Environmental and Testing Services contract has an 18-month base period, a two-year option and an additional 18-month option, NASA said Saturday.

The company will also perform environmental and energy management, surveying and life safety code compliance and requirements development support services.

COMETS will also include efforts to design, construct, commission, activation and turnover of new facilities.

Contract work is scheduled to commence on April 1 and will occur at Glenn’s Lewis Field and Plum Brook Station in Ohio as well as at NASA’s headquarters in Washington and other agency facilities, when needed.
