DARPA Taps Systems and Technology Research for Undersea Sensor Tech Project

Systems and Technology Research has received $10.6 million to explore undersea sensing systems for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

DARPA will obligate $3.2 million at the time of award from the agency’s fiscal 2017 and fiscal 2018 research and development funds, the Defense Department said Thursday.

The research project is scheduled to be finished by August 2019.

Woburn, Massachusetts-based STR develops sensors and information processing systems meant to aid security efforts of U.S. military and intelligence community customers.
