A U.S. government contractor has awarded Comtech Telecommunications‘ New York-based subsidiary a $1.2 million order to update electronic warfare hardware.

Comtech PST will upgrade solid-state, high-power amplifiers designed to address a customer’s EW requirements, the company said Monday.

Fred Kornberg, president and CEO of Comtech Telecommunications, said that domestic and international original equipment manufacturers use the company’s amplifier technology.

Comtech PST operates under Comtech’s government solutions segment and produces broadband, radio frequency microwave amplifiers and control systems for defense, radar, medical, satellite communications and instrumentation applications.
