The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration wants information on industry sources of information technology security services for ground-based satellite equipment.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday says NOAA’s satellite and information acquisition division is conducting the market survey ahead of a potential upcoming procurement effort.

SIAD will collect through Dec. 18, 2017 capability statements from interested contractors that have at least six years of demonstrated experience in government-provided software tools such as ArcSight, Tenable SecurityCenter/Nessus, WebInspect, IBM‘s BigFix Suite and QRadar, Tripwire Enterprise and Log Center, Nipper Studio, Altiris and Cyber Security Assessment and Management.

NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service looks to implement an IT security program that will work to secure satellite ground systems, product processing and distribution systems and administrator local area networks.

The agency anticipates procurement of the services from small businesses through a contract that will have a base performance period of one year with four option years.
