Mercury Systems has received a $2.2 million microelectronics order from a defense contractor that currently supports a U.S. ballistic missile defense program.

The order is for radio frequency modules that will be integrated into the radar system of a ballistic missile defense platform, Mercury Systems said Thursday.

Kevin Beals, vice president and general manager at the company’s RF and microwave group, said the company designed and manufactures technology with the help of its microelectronics centers.

The company booked the order during its fiscal 2018 second quarter.
