Elbit Systems has received a four-year, $46 million contract to supply additional aircraft self-protection systems for NATO’s Airbus-built aerial refueling tanker aircraft.

The company said Tuesday it will provide J-Music Direct Infrared Countermeasures  and Passive Airborne Warning Systems for integration into the international alliance’s A330 Multinational Multi-Role Tanker Transport fleet.

Elad Aharonson, general manager for the intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance division of Elbit Systems, said the company seeks to help NATO address  shoulder-launched surface-to-air missile threats with J-MUSIC DIRCM and PAWS missile warning systems.
