A United Arab Emirates-based aircraft manufacturer has selected Rockwell Collins to produce and integrate an integrated avionics system into a new aircraft platform designed for combat and asymmetric warfare missions.
Rockwell Collins said Monday it will provide its Pro Line Fusion system for installation on Calidus‘ B-250 light attack aircraft that debuted at the Dubai Airshow.
Talel Kamel, managing director of Rockwell Collins’ business operations in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, said the company developed its cockpit technology to help aircrew manage the aircraft, battlespace and mission via the flight deck.
Pro Line Fusion consists of a digital head-up display, graphical interfaces, a touchscreen technology, icons and a multifunction display windows that are built to aid situational awareness in different flight phases and conditions.
The system is designed to also support aircraft operations such as flight training, counterinsurgency, close air support and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
Rockwell Collins also demonstrated the use of Pro Line Fusion as a ground control station for unmanned aerial systems.
