Northrop Grumman has been selected to compete for more than $500 million in task orders to support U.S. Army training centers nationwide under a multiple-award,  indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

The company said Monday it aims to help the Army create simulation and gaming exercises in virtual and constructive environments through the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support contract.

Work will also include computer network security and facility operations support.

“We will continue partnering with the Army to ensure soldiers are prepared for the full range of modern threats,” said Catherine Gridley, vice president and general manager of Northrop’s technology services unit.

Northrop has helped train soldiers at the Army’s Mission Command Training Center and the company noted it also facilitates Mission Command Training Program exercises for the service branch.
